You could probably try to get a foreign used but that ecu definitely has an immobilser. The ecu would need to be recoded to work with your existing key

What do you guys/gals recommend for Rear Lower Control Arms (LCA) for an EK civic.

Replacing the bushings (and where did you source them)
or
Replacing the LCA with an aftermarket unit and which ones last
or
Replacing LCA with an aftermarket/original unit from a different vehicle (Type R) arm

or any other suggestion

Reviving an old thread.

Looking for a mechanic who currently works at the firm and does personal jobs.

So back to repairing my old Honda (EK chassis)

I'm a bit lazy sometimes regarding repairs cause some things are harder to do than others.

Replaced Driver side inner cvboot and grease as I could see small cracks forming
Replaced Steering rack dust boots
Charged Front lower control arm bushing
Replaced shock (bump stop) buffer on front shocks
Clocked springs and upper shock mount so that the strut mounts properly
Applied grease and teflon tape to front sway bar, to help keep sway bar bushings from squeaking

NLGI 1 Moly grease aluminium thickener (cause almost everyone sells NLGI 2 only) - Schaeffers from Boodram's in the Bamboo (L&L Bar)
Urethane bumpstops - Purchased a set intended for the rear of a Skoda Octavia and adapted by cutting. Better option than running those cheap rubber dust boots; EKs have metal dust shields
