ok so after doing some research and looking at youtube it seems that i can get my dim yellowed up light back or close to its original look and light output. any of you guys ever did this before? what plastic polish did u use n where can i get it locally? today lol. and im using 2000 grit sand paper to wet sand the headlight right? needs some guidance.

Considering that its yellow you clearly have some work ahead of your, but start by using the 3m Headlight restoration system..

If that doesnt work then consider the wetsanding process

lol buddy the driver side headlight looks like the yellow oem fogs lol so i believe i have my work cut out lol

where can i get the 3m headlight restoration gunk from?

You will have to look around for the 3m, not sure who sells it locally but I know i seen it around at some point...

Yup...you can do it yourself....but you'll need at minimum 3000 grit sandpaper...I used 2000 and it scratched my lens.

Pour water on the lens while rubbing with the sand paper VERY GENTLY....you just want to take off the pits, scratches and embedded dirt. Make sure you have a continuous stream of water while doing this.

Then polish with Mothers plastic polish....do this about 3 times.

I usually polish my lens every other weekend with the Mothers....doesn't take long.....2-3 mins and my lens are crystal clear

CD4Accord, i have and ej8 coupe, ek4ever, where u got the mothers, can i pick it up at a motorist or something?

^^Mothers available at any good car accessories place....just call around.....the hardest thing to get is the sandpaper......might have to check a body shop

i did the wet sanding process on mine started with 800 grit then 1500 then 2000 grit followed by polishing compound and i finished off with mothers plastic polish excellent results but you have to keep it wet at all times when sanding... it took me abt half hour to do both lights on my prelude and ever so often afterwards i polish the lens with mothers hope this helps.

i had the same yellow light thing , I went pricemart and bought a buffer for 175 and a rubbing compound from the local parts place ( 777 compound 20$) and just buff it , use your discretion otherwise u will burn the light , but continue until clear ... well thats how i did mine..

^^ yes this will work but the light will get back yellow again in a short time

u have to seal and protect the light jus like when polishing a car

Simple fix man, use some mothers car polish on theh light with a damp sponge.

Polish like you would the car, depending on the condition, you may need to rub in more than you expect. But it works.

I polished my car and thought i could try it on the lights to shine the plastic, to my suprise it polished the light to a nice bright look.

Try, nothing too loose and plenty to gain.

Mother's Plastic Polish FTW!!!!! Premium stuff!!

try using toothpaste. remember, paste, not gel. rub it in then wash it off.
