TUNERS, THE TEMP GAUGE ON MY CIVIC GOES UP AND THEN COMES BACK DOWN TO HALF, THE RADIATOR HAS COOLANT AND THE OVERFLOW BOTTLE IS NOT OVERFILLING, THERE'S ALSO NO COOLANT/WATER IN THE OIL, OIL LOOKS GOOD.
THIS STARTED HAPPENING RECENTLY AND NOW MORE FREQUENTLY, WHILE DRIVING THE GAUGE WOULD GRADUALLY GO UP TO 3/4 AND THEN AFTER DRIVING OR REVVING THE ENGINE IT GOES BACK TO HALFWAY ABOUT A GOOD 30 SECONDS OR MORE.
ANY HELP/IDEAS/SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED TUNERS.

I am having this same problem on one of my civics as well. I bought the car with the fan hooked up directly, changed the fan and installed a temp sensor (not original due to price) and began getting this problem. I'm thinking that the sensor is the problem, causing the fan to trip on too late, ie when the gauge reaches 3/4". have you recently changed your sensor? Wanted to confirm the problem before forking out $700 for an original honda sensor as the replacement is less than a month on the car.
