License Plates (Number Plates)

Postby Engi » September 11th, 2023, 10:29 pm

What type of number plates are the best/most durable to buy?

From what I am seeing there are a lot of options where there are the plastic letter "stuck" onto a plate made of metal (like the pic below)? Some I am seeing are claiming to be aluminum composite.

I just read that certain types of plates are illegal ? Like for instance plates not made of metal or plexi? And those that have the peel/stick on type letters ? Can anyone confirm?

Where can I get the traditional metal plates that have the letters pressed into it? Are those the best?

There was a spot on cipero street san fernando, next to supertech that did mine molded in the mid 2000's.
Have to paint them over. (LO wasnt happy with scratches in paint from all those years.)

Currently have the vinyl stickers on acrylic plate on the car until i get around to painting my molded set.
That passed inspection and LO.
Don't like them because they can crack.

That picture you have looks like "bone style" plates. If so, those letters can break off.
A molded llicense plate looks like this. The letters are not-removable.

Sign boss/Plate boss Couva.

At the entrance to Roystonia on the Carli Bay side.

Do all my plates from them.

I once got a front plate made in PVC (only kind available) as an emergency until I went and ordered a regular plexy. Just for kix I left it on... lasted 4yrs before I ended up changing it never knew if it was allowed or legal but it lasted longer than I expected.
