good thread, made for some really good reading as i had no idea what grade oil to use before.

I fear i may have been using too thick an oil all the time so ill try the 10w30 and see if my car responds any better. As engine sludge buildup has been a major problem in the past.

Question... Syntec, syntec blend or regular or does it really make that much of a difference.

Depends on your purpose basically.. How hard do you run the vehicle, how long do you stretch your oil changes etc? If you use the cr as an average runaround car, regular oil is fine, just do your oil changes on time..

If you are harder on your engine or want the additional detergent benefits of synth, then it is the obvious choice...
