wtk what causes a new battery to go dead after...

OK....

75% of the drain was caused by my power mirrors. when i star my car the mirrors open and when i switch off they close for themselves. the circuit used, needed a constant 12v to close them when switching off,hence when i don't use my car for a couple days the battery goes dead! :oops:

now it takes longer to go dead.i've added on bout 3 more days.i have no other electronics on board installed in this manner,so i startin over again!

*just curious,how long does a battery supposed to hold charge for in a vehicle that is parked up?*

well it seems those mirrors are improperly installed
do you have them on a relay?
it is supposed to take the 12v till it closes and then switch the 12v off it doesnt need a constant 12v to stay closed
