Where are you located? A good place to look for chips is superchips and neuspeed. If I can find any other companies that have tuning for your car I'll add to the list

You can check here, I've heard of some of their work.
http://www.goapr.com/VW/products/ecu_up ... lf18t.html

And probably the most known VW tuners you can always right them for any info on chipping

I used Upsolute
Its a more consertavive map than APR, but the engine in our Gti is the older AGU European model, its not Drive by wire or has variable valve timing.

Cost - 375 USD go it done in Miami by a guy called Chris Green
I believe he has a site, ulimate sound or somethin like that.

Its super easy to do.

Got really Great results especially with the DP and exhaust

I never dynoed the car but the expected gains were 50bhp and approx 70 ft/lbs, the torque was quite notcable.

great Mod for a 1.8T turn it into a sleeper, Good luck

What year is your MK4? Early AGU lump or DBW type?
Also you should know that you cant buy a "chip" for this ECU as all the componets are surface mounted. The ECU must be sent away. In the UK companies such as Jabbasport, Stealth racing and Big Boys Toys are the ones I know that can do this service for you.
This is what should be expected from a 1.8T with the following huffers.
On K03 engines 195bhp is the norm, K03s motors up to 220ish and on K04 engines (TT, S3 and Seat Cupra R) 280ish.

We can do the APR for you with 1-4 levels and we also sell the pc cable for you to change inbetween maps. It will take 1 week to send and get back your ecu maybe a little more since its around christmas with shipping.
