Flat Spot Prob .....

Can anyone tell me why when I floor the pedal to get acceleration or 'kick down' sometimes I get a flat spot , or slight sputtering ? What can I do to rectify this ? I am thinking my injectors need cleaning , am I right? If not please help me out .

would timing or mixture affect this?

Nope , 1.3 Fuel Injected Twin Cam 16 Valve .

Never serviced the injectors , only thing was done was spark plug change .

u use ne sorta injector cleaner in ur gas?

how does it happen ? only sudden accleration or is it all the time? does the car under perform? if so check meh for a full service

Well Anil hear how it happens :-

Sometimes it will drive normal , kinda lazy I fine , when I want the kick down I get it almost always , other times when I floor the X you getting a slight sputtering and the car doh wanna go (especially when I stop and mash right down and on hills ) , when it do that I simply tip the X , keep that pressure and the car builds back its momentum . I would love to do a full service , what's your price ???

try hiting it a full service could be many factors such as dirt pump filter, injectors, plugs ect

4years is a long while without a Tune up........to a Full service and then u'll know what is the problem(IF it still Exist)

Well Nick009 it's like this :-

When my stock air filter was replaced with the K & N filter the idiot who installed it forgot to mention that the hose was too short thus causing hot air intake instead of cold air , resulting in the vehicle losing power . I stumbled upon this boss mechanic Anil_Sooknanan on trinituner ans he told me to bring the car . He immediately diagnosed the problem and replaced the hose with a longer one and positioned the filter where it would function at it's finest . Since then , no worries . Anil is de man tuners .
