Gulf superfleet supreme 15w40 - 505
Wolf vital tech 15w40 - approx 465
Np ultra 15w40 - approx 465
Shell rimula R4X 15w40 - approx 750

Gulf fleet force synth 10w40 - approx 875
Np ultra tec 5w40 - approx 675

These were the last prices that I remember.
Never heard of mannol before today
I can't recall if I ever saw the R5 (shell semi syn) being sold locally... But I doubt they come in pail... Let me know if you find out anything.

Congratulations on acquiring the van

I've been seeing recently mechanics using wrong grade oil in some cars. Which oil is best suited for the new roro versas with the hr12de engine?

Which delvac did you use? (MX, 1300, 1 ESP). I'm not sure but I think mannol is blended by Wolf lubricants... Or it used to be at some time.

So let's start 2020 with some free info.
KIA Sportage MY11 2011 model 2l diesel FWD
(Engine Oil Capacity>>8.45US Qts.) (CLASSIFICATION) SAE 10W-30 or 5W-30 ACEA C3 or ACEA C4
NOTES
The following (5) oils meet the ACEA C3 specs recommended by KIA >>>
(1) Chevron Delo 400 LE 15W-40 API CJ-4/SM Diesel Oil ($140>Pricesmart)
(2) Gulf Formula (GVX 5W-30 @ $70/Qt.)/GVT/XLE/ULE>5W-40/(Fleet Force 10W-40 @ $75/Qt.) (Ryotech)
(3) Shell Helix Ultra Extra 5W-30 :
(a) For fuel-injected vehicles fitted with exhaust gas 'blow-by' re-circulation, catalytic converters and particulate filters. For petrol and diesel engines requiring the use of a 5W-30 engine oil.
(b) Specifically intended for the latest Mercedes Benz, VW and BMW diesel engines fitted with exhaust after treatment and also suitable for older diesel engines requiring a 5W-30 viscosity.
(c) Is also known as Shell Helix 5W/30 full synthetic motor oil, Shell Ultra 5W30 engine oil, Shell Ultra Extra fully synthetic engine oil.
(4) Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-40 (Trac Mac)
(5) Castrol Magnatec > 5W-40. 5W-30/Edge Turbo Diesel (FST) 5W-40/Edge 0W-30/Edge 5W-40
Notes On CJ4 Oils >
Introduced in 2006. For high-speed, four-stroke engines designed to meet 2007 model year on-highway exhaust emission standards.
CJ-4 oils are compounded for use in all applications with diesel fuels ranging in sulfur content up to 500 ppm (0.05% by weight). However, use of these oils with greater than 15 ppm (0.0015% by weight) sulfur fuel may impact exhaust after-treatment system durability and/or oil drain interval.
CJ-4 oils are effective at sustaining emission control system durability where particulate filters and other advanced after treatment systems are used. Optimum protection is provided for control of catalyst poisoning, particulate filter blocking, engine wear, piston deposits, low- and high-temperature stability, soot handling properties, oxidative thickening, foaming, and viscosity loss due to shear.
API CJ-4 oils exceed the performance criteria of API CI-4 with CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, CH-4, CG-4 and CF-4 and can effectively lubricate engines calling for those API Service Categories. When using CJ-4 oil with higher than 15 ppm sulfur fuel, consult the engine manufacturer for service interval.

Not sure if there's anything cheaper available but can't go wrong with NP Ultra/Ultra Tec 10w-30. I've been using for a couple years. Conventional/synthetic around $150/180 a gallon, respectively.

Update if you find a cheaper alternative.

Thanks for all the replies. Ended up getting Kendall Gt1 semi syn for $180 at Faiz m'bella. Needed it kinda last minute.

Not sure how good this titanium additive is but I observe that Castrol is using some form of it in one of their flagship lubricants; there must be some merit to it.
