if you have the tools to remove it you could rebuild it at home, its very simple, trickiest part it separating the exhaust housing from the core

Make sure you scribe a line on the core to exhaust housing and do the same with the front housing it will take the guess work out of reassembly

If its just smoky and not noisy it wont need to have the rotating assembly balanced, but before you undo the nut thats on the impeller side, be sure to scribe a line on the impeller, nut and top of the shaft so you can re-align it when you put it back together and keep it balanced

theres plenty of info on diy turbo repair on the net and the rebuild kits can be bought on ebay

still got yer old one ??

pull it apart and have a look in side, you may need to mod some spanners to get the exhaust housing bolts undone (you'll see how you need to mod them ), just get em loose and add some penetrating lube let it sit for 10 mins and give the housing a gentle tap with a nylon hammer

the nut holding the impeller on is a double hex (8mm by memory) and a left hand thread

P.s. fixed the link in my other post

once you pull one apart you'll realize just how simple they are

Note the Austarion diy turbo is a IHI so some parts will vary but pretty much same for same
