HELP QG15 Rough idle on start

Postby mark_mohammed » February 2nd, 2011, 3:22 pm

Fellas i want a piece of advice on first starts ''not necessarily morning starts , but cold starts '' i get a shaky start, the engine stumbles for a few seconds and levels off , sometimes i have to tumble twice..but if i cut off and start back it starts great..i have a ad qg15..i changed plugs, gapped ...Spray out throttle body changed oil, oil filter air filter fuel intank filter..belts..fluids etc.. the works.. i also have a check light on..i want to know if its worth it to spray out the air intake idle sensor, and the throttle position sensor ? i also cleaned out my catylic converter..and my egr valve isnt hooked up as my ad harness doesnt have the jack for it.. however thats not the prob cus the car ran fine before without it .. i also replaced my maf...and sprayed it out with electrical contact...
My fuel filter was extremely dirty, when changed can it be injectors ? Also when i run a prestone injector cleaner in it, it starts a tad better...when it runs out the issue is still there...cud it be injectors..if so why will it run good with the cleaner ? help i dont wanna spend no more guess money ..

Check State of the Art Automotive in Chaguanas to have the car scanned.
Heading west on the Endeavour Flyover, turn south onto the Caroni Savannah Road. Its a few buildings down, on the west (aka right side) of the road. There is a sign, so you can't miss it.

Once you get the code, a determination can be made of the most likely cause.

Had a similar problem, ended being a broken wire on the airflow sensor jack.

i had the same prob as you...turned out to be the throttle body. It was just dirty and limiting airflow.

Had it cleaned for $60 and it was good as new.
