How to remove oil stain from seat fabric?

Postby Olivia425 » March 15th, 2011, 11:17 pm

took my car to get serviced recently and it came back with an oil stain in the seat (fabric not leather). looks terrible as the interior is beige. What is the best solution to get it off?

Additionally the dealer i bought the car from had his company name etc sprayed onto the back windshield in white paint. What can i use to remove it?

dip the fabric in soapy water and clean with extra car on the oily stains of the fabric. use good quality soapy powder..scrub the oil and grime from the fabric.

Buy a can of Tuff Stuff upholstery cleaner (should be available at most auto parts stores) and follow the directions on the can.

Would those blades that the guys use to remove the glue residue from glass work for the paint? That, or some paint thinners applied to a cloth and carefully rubbed over the area with the paint.

Tuff Stuff really works! it sells for about $35.

You can think of carrying the vehicle somewhere that does shampooing, etc...don't know anyplace but hear it works as well

this is my personal experience.......

there is a soap in almost every grocery called B-29

this soap i use to clean all of my microfiber cloths after i was the car and it comes out really clean..

i also use it to wipe down my seats and hood upholstery with great success....

You can get OK results with the DIY methods posted above. But I would recommend you get the seats professionally cleaned using a deep cleaning carpet/ upholstery carpet extractor.

This type of cleaning really makes a difference with you interior as it lifts all the imbeded contaminants from the material and it i will give you a new car finish.

let me know if you are interested
