Help please O2 sensor for 2002 NZE corolla

Tuners, I havin a problem, my chek eng light on for a few years nw and i kno is d O2 sensor due to the running of a diagnostic. I replaced the original one with another from toyota and it lasted for like a year, aftr tht, I replaced it with a denso(the maker of the original) and that had some kinda different wiring. My corolla is 2002 local nze corolla, engine code- 1NZ-FE(1500cc). My main question is if any one can instruct me whether or not I can use the "universal" replacement sensor or not. Any kind help will be appreciated. Even friendly bumps are welcome. Thank you.

i believe so, i've used the gereric o2 sensor from bobby's in the bamboo. costs like 390 and it had the same 4 wires, 2black, 1white,1blue same as the original so joining was easy. Can't remember the brand but it was made in usa and it was in a black box. works well so far 6mths now

oh this was the 04 nze with the 1.6 so it had 2 sensors on the exhaust

the 1.5 also has two sensors. thank buddy, i will give them a call and see wiz d scene.

MY pal has an almera and checklight is on...diagnostic says o2 sensor...It was replaced twice with FU ones but the checklight still remains on.....even though it was cleared its just a matter of minutes before it comes back on.......A tech guy who did the scan says that the o2 sensor is working since he test the voltage or something like that.....

question is ...how the arse to get the checklight off.....

when u replaced your sensor did your light come off....????
