Brake problem

Postby Sundar » October 24th, 2015, 10:18 pm

Here's the problem: soft pedal.
What I've done: changed front calipers, that's when problem started. Bled lines, from master Cylinder to distribution block to four wheels. Three bottles of dot three brake fluid done and yesi did try to catch back as much fluid as I could of. Front not building as much pressure. The back is good though.

Check if calipers installed on the correct side....

I've seen people put left side calipers on the right....lol

That would make a difference? To me they looked the same. I changed back my old ones. Brakes working now. Just the calipers I used the same braket cause the pins good.

It would make a difference. The left side caliper will have to go on the left side of the car for the bleed nipple to be positioned at the top of the caliper so will get all the air out if the system when you bleed it. If the left caliper were to be placed on the right side of the vehicle... then the bleed nipple will be at the bottom, and you will not bleed the system effectively.

Hmm I just looked at it and according to the bracket there was a left and right. But I had it lined up good before then cause I know which caliper I took off first and place it with the old disc pads. One side of the pads had worn down more than the other.
