WTK: Clutch Kit Brand

Postby Rory Phoulorie » December 20th, 2019, 7:29 am

I want to know what are your first hand experiences with the various brands of clutch kits being sold?

I want to buy a replacement clutch kit to keep at home so that I won't have to wait to order one when my clutch eventually starts slipping.

The car is a stock 2006 Hyundai Coupe FX with a 5 speed manual transmission.

I last changed the clutch and used an Exedy Kit (clutch, pressure plate and release bearing). When I was checking for a new clutch kit, I am seeing favourable reviews for Exedy, Sachs and Luk brands of clutch kit. But with the favourable reviews, you also get some negative reviews for each brand.

Any advice will be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks.

Exedy is OEM for my ride, no issues.
