DPF Regeneration.

Postby Induwije » April 13th, 2020, 11:44 am

I have a Nissan Caravan e25 van 2008. It has a dpf filter and about 2 week ago the dpf light came on. It has been sitting idly for about 2 weeks nefore the light came on. And then i took it for a drive in the highway for abt 10 minutes but the light didnt go off. I tried pressing the dpf button but it did not work. Can anyone help me with this. Is there any specific way to press the dpf button.

need to be a certain rpm, speed and then press the button

some scan tools can do the REGEN without all that, forced regen.

yeah scan / forced regen is a good option
That said, a DPF benefits from maintenance
There are kits that some mechanics use, where you spray a chemical into the DPF via a sensor bung and it cleans out the crap
I've cleaned the DPF on my car by physically removing it, soaking it with carb spray, and then blowing it out with a pressure washer
Keep in mind you may need new gaskets for reassembly
