SR20de + t project

Postby GameOver » February 3rd, 2011, 5:26 pm

OK!! so looking at my second attempt at a previously abandoned de+t project
canceled because first platform was written off 2yrs ago...
Now the deal here is I am doing it myself. No I am not a mechanic, but i can use a screwdriver and that's all the accreditation i need.

Parts list -
(already have)
w11 bb t25 turbo, manifold, downpipe
det 370c injectors
AEM F/IC
wideband gauge
pressure and boost gauges
oil feed kit (from fast-turbo.com SKU:FTOFDX)
oil feed restrictor 0.35 (do i need this??)
S??teen 4piston 30mm calipers w/rotors
intercooler
water lines
drill, tap and barb for oil drain
tee's for oil feed and gauge
3in Flex pipe
3"in inlet Barrel (looking for another)
Complete LSD hydro gearbox and conversion

(still to get)
blow off / recirc valve
intercooler piping set up
3"in exhaust (minus flex pipe and barrel)

you experts see anything missing from my list? - daily driver here so down time must be a minimum

So the plan is to install the F/IC this weekend along with the the injectors and get that running smoothly, maybe do some data logging...
but since i have to temporarily divert my spending, (tuition and UK registration -yeah i messed up my GATE funding) this gonna be like this until next month ...
would it be a waste to record peak maf voltages vs rpm values with the cvt tranny?

Any wise words??
and please I am not stupid so dont talk to me as if I am. I may have just forgotten stuff from the list also.. So please be constructive in your contribution folks....

I would suggest that you add a DET ECU and matching O2 sensor and airflow meter.
That way you dont have to worry too much about timing and injector duty cycle and running lean.

Might want to upgrade the fuel pump as well.

you know that was always a query for me, but i was under the belief that ability of the F/IC to retard timing and control injector duty would have been sufficient..... thanks, will do some more research. Any other ideas on this?

make sure the 't' spot for the actuator and boost gauge is the same place. always take the boost gauge reading from the same spot.pressure drop along the pipin will cause u to get different readings at both places!

You sure that is a LSD box? It looks like the normal P11 box....
