What's the difference between the 20xtt model seeing this is the highest grade as opposed to the 20xt and other grades?

There are many variations in the way the X-trail models look, hence the 20X, 20XT, 20XTT, 20X-Tremer X etc. The different models are mainly about cosmetics, not much for higher performance or different mechanicals.
However in the T31 model, you will have:

T31 which is 2WD, carrying the MR20 engine.

NT31 which is 4WD, carrying the MR20 engine.

DNT31 which is 2.0 Turbo-Diesel 4WD. It is the called the GT.

TNT31 which is the 2.5L gas 4WD.

I will give a listing below, which includes the T32. The EMERGENCY BRAKE PACKAGE comes only in the T32. There are even some that you will find in the T30 model:

20GT 20GT BLACK X-TREMER X 20GT S 20GT S X-TREMER X 20GT X-TREMER X 20GT X-TREMER X PLUS NAVI HDD 20S 20ST 20STT 20X 20X BLACK X-TREMER X 20X BLACK X-TREMER X EMERGENCY BRAKE PACKAGE 20X EMERGENCY BRAKE PACKAGE 20X X-TREMER X 20X X-TREMER X EMERGENCY BRAKE PACKAGE 20X X-TREMER X PLUS NAVI HDD 20XT 20XT X-TREMER X 20XTT 20XTT BLACK X-TREMER X 20XTT X-TREMER X 25S 25ST 25X 25X X-TREMER X 25X X-TREMER X PLUS NAVI HDD 25XT 25XTT 25XTT X-TREMER X AXIS AXIS PERFORMANCE SPEC DRIVING GEAR GT NAVI EDITION S NAVI EDITION ST NAVI EDITION STT NAVI EDITION X NAVI EDITION XT NAVI EDITION XTT RIDER ALPHA RIDER ALPHAII RIDER STAGE1 RIDER STAGE2 S S DRIVING GEAR SCRATCH GUARD COAT EDITION ST STT STYLE-AX STAGE1 STYLE-AX STAGE2 X X EXTREME LEATHER XT XTT Other

The attached pic is a 2012 2.5 on a dealer site, the only 2.5 among hundreds of X-Trails offered for sale that can be imported into T&T.

Peace.

Mobil 1, amsoil, liqui moly.
As far as deck. You can get a pioneer x4600 with steering interface and reverse cam, from Amazon for about $400usd. Install shouldn't be too hard.

Have one from Massey for about 6 months.

Pros
The power is really good, it'll pull strongly and I believe it'll cross 160 if pushed.
It's really roomy, especially the trunk
Factory xenon are excellent.
Ride is comfortable but at the same time it doesn't wallow about on corners.
The part time awd system is brilliant.
Reverse camera is standard and moon roof is a plus.
It uses super.

Cons.
Inside is noisy af, idk if it's the profile of the tyres, the brand of tyres or the rims but it has a lot of road noise inside above 120. Managed to eliminate most with sound deadening under the trunk.

It's cvt, takes some getting used to as its the first cvt I've owned. Also I'm hoping it doesn't give any problems.

Entry to the back seat is a but narrow Imo.

Overall it's an excellent vehicle, only issue really is the road noise. I haven't crossed 8000km yet though.

Have to add some pros.
Leather interior
Lots of storage compartments.
Cup holders and glove compartment are cooled.
Ac vents a back.
Both front seats are powered and heated.
It has a hill descent, hill ascent and locking diff for offloading, not that it ever went further than a few potholes.

If you are on an incline the transmission will hold the car without the brake being applied for about 3 seconds. There's also a switch on the dash for Hill descent which you'd only use if you're on a steep incline of loose sand or gravel, the car will brake each tyre individually and without user input til you get down the hill.

Wrt the sound, I put about 4 sheets of stinger road kill under the moulding in the trunk as well as some carpet underlay on top of that. Basically eliminated the noise. I think it's the tyre / rim combo thought because persons who have the 16" rims never complained about the road noise. 18" with Dunlop sp7000 tyres are the issue on mine.

I got side steps by LV Marketing. About $3500 installed. They should also have the visors etc.
Someone on tuner had the rear spoiler for them for sale.

This is an X-Trail 20X that was taken from the Port on Wednesday afternoon. It was taken to Licensing Office on Thursday. By Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning I will get the registration number.
These shots were taken before anything was done to the vehicle. Click on the photos to get a better view.

2009 X-Trail 20X. NT31.
75,000kms
On-the-Road cost TT$137,186.

Peace.
