Postby crazyhorse69 » April 16th, 2008, 6:59 am

ok really contemplating to do this but?

looking to change my manifold and replace with some extractors but i know naturally the performance supposed to be better but in the case of the sr20vvl engine {asperated} is that so cause my mechanic has a set of extractors but on looking at my original manifold it seems to be bigger than the extractors so that is the predicament i'm in if the performance will be better so come u vvl guys plz give a brother some info

your vvl already comes with extractors (4-2-1) what brand do ur mech have ???? and also what model sr is it from, cause the vvl ports are slightly bigger and if you buy them from a different engine you may have to use a dremel and open up the ports a little bit

i using the one for the DE for a while now on the vvl.....i agree wid aziz..the ports off the vvl head iz silghtly bigger than the DE extractors....i would say to save a lil extra and get the proper extractors for it...that one i believe comes with a 2.5 inch down pipe...

does anyone know the price of the vvl extractors?

JASMA is just the japanese environmental standard not the maker.
Sr20de ports are smaller and then to choke the vvl, fujitsubo, rsr and impul are top maker of vvl extractors, price anywhere between 700 and 1000usd if you could find them.

my advice keep the stock extractors cause for the price to buy aftermarket...... its not worth it
unless you wanna try something like getting someone down here to build a 4-1 extrator
