weird overheating problem

ok so i have purged the cooling system multiple times, coolant is in good shape and there is no thermostat in the car, by the way it is an sr18de. some times when i get out of my car after driving i can hear the coolant making a boiling sound coming from the over flow, the car never indicates that it is over heating EX. my temp gauge reads a little high but never overheating. Ocasionaly and i mean 1 in the past 6 months has the temp gauge read high. i dont know what the hell is going on? the car should be running at a very low temp with the thermo gone yet the gauge still reads a little high (just over halfway between H and C). fans kick in as they should and all sensors are opporational. plus the car seems to be burning coolant but there is no leak. this is not a big problem for me as the car runs and drives normal i just want to try and figure out why i hear the boiling noise from the overflow?

check/replace the radiator cap

a friend of mine had a problem....his water pump internals had worn over time and eventually stopped pumping. the temp gauge did not pick it up because the water was not flowing properly for it to give a good reading. so he destroyed his engine and his water temp gauge never crossed half! :shock:

replace thermo as well.,
check water pump, and if you're hearing bubbling in the over flow, do a compression test.

u know i was getting this same problem this morning and miraculously i came on tuner saw this...changed the cover and no problems ..

C is for Cyc what is the psi rating on the rad cap on your A31? My rad is a copper 2 core, got the same problem as well.

Yep, put in mine yesterday and drove all the way to Pt. Fortin with a lil spiritful driving...yet to overheat and not a single bubbling sound from the over-flow bottle.

$30 at Bobby's in the 'boo, shouldn't have put it off for so long.

boy well prepare to be boarded fellars .... here my case i have a y10 wingraod dat model have d b14 engine. when i got d car in was workin fine after a month or so it started to over heat so i changed the fans it started back over heatin my d week end so i flush radiator it got worse so i changed d coolant temp sensor and brain plus rad cover

1.had the same problem fellas...was a combination of water pump fins being worn.....as a result the flow was not sufficient to keep the temp to what it suppose to be but enough to not have the car heat to extremities..........had that changed after a simple inspection by the mechanic....
mind you i had the radiator flushed and also checked for leaks and removed the thermostat before checking the water pump(blasted easiest check that was done last)(also water was bubbling in the reservoir due to the heating)
2. secondly after the pump was changed water was loosing but no leaks....problem was a blown head gasket....due the the over heating .....lost water while driving.....changed the gasket and pressure tested the head ......and now everything is back to normal.....

been about 2 and a half weeks and car works great......
also had the car scanned by a fellow tuner(anil sooknanan)...just to make sure everything was good and he also checked the timing on the car and tuned it ....

boy things still not goin well i changed head and block and the same sheit happening i feel it's an electrical problem.. where can i find a good auto elect
