Want help to turbo a reg. rb20

Just got a medalist(rb20), want to turbo it. should I swap & buy a rb20(turbo)? Also what's the average price on doin the convers.??

i got dat same engine in my a31 cefiro..to me i find that engine is powerful enough...but if turbo is not to costly i might also add it

its a bolt for bolt swap...no serious modification needed... might cost you about 4000 for a engine with tranny/box and about 1000 to do the swap labour and wiring....and u will have spare parts from ur original engine if it s the rb20 twin cam..

i plan on turboing a non turbo rb though....more headache but more fun in the end. but if you want just to get boost buy the complete setup and drop in

Too easy. after my RB20DET developed a knock and even after changing bearings it still started to knock my mech swapped the turbo parts onto a non turbo head and block i had laying around. stock boost and make sure u have good fuel pressure and its no headache really after that. its been over a year and that engine is still goin strong. manual and under hard driving it performs well for what it is.

but before u do that tho, make sure and change ur oil, filters, belts and relevant seals one time so u don't have to worry about it for awhile.
