Hello all
I have a Nissan Primera P11 model, sr20 engine
Ive noticed that on mornings or when the car is cold, when i put the car in drive it does not move off, i have to either wait a while (30 seconds maybe) or put it in 2nd and drive a bit.
What i would like to find out from you guys, is whether any1 has any similar probs and solutions. I figure my transmission must be going, ive been told that it may make more sense to change the whole thing rather than have it repaired, but i would still like to have it checked.
So can anyone recommend a transmission guy, north/central side.
Thanks!

P.S If im changing, can i put a cvt transmission in?

If you put it in low or reverse does it move off immediately? If the answer is yes, your seals are hard so it is losing pressure. Change the transmission fluid completely. This transmission holds 7.2 quarts of ATF, including torque convertor.
A flushing machine would do the trick. Add one Wynns Trans Grip with new oil.

If the transmission is slipping, when accelerating, then go ahead and replace. Yes you can go with the cvt, but the wiring would be very costly.

OK thank you, good advice.
I went to Jentron in Aranguez to have it checked....the transmission itself is going bad. Looking around for one now.
Front wheel drive, non cvt type
