Best brake pads to use?

Postby sr18de » August 16th, 2004, 12:51 pm

I need to change the brake pads. What brake pads should I use? Green stuff, Mintex...??? I also have to machine the rotors, could you suggest where I can go to get this done as well? The car is a Primera.

GIC is dist. by FT Farfan, ask for Richard Benjamin and tell him Dave sent you
FBL is dist by El Socorro auto
Those are the only ones I have used in recent times

I use Axxis Metal Masters.

For stock rotors you're probably best off using the Nissan OEM pads.

Project Mu are the best in my books, a lil more pricey than stock...

gotta get them from www.projectnissan.com

they have ones for stock rotors and for aftermarket ones... differnt grade ones, seach google.com for product info.

One of the best brakes pads to use is "Elite Graphite / Carbon Fibre " brakes pads .
Advantages :
graphite - polishes rotor disc, prevents morning sickness,
reduces rotor wear

Carbon Fibre - absorbs heat energy thus eliminating brake fade

no noise
long lasting
minimal dusting
superior stopping power

Reference :
Route 2 maxi-taxi association in Trinidad
Winston "tanco" Baboolal - circuit racer ( Evo 3,B13 )

using OEM foriegn used Hitchi Brakes pads on my b14. its the better than wagner and that waste of time elite...i had a set and it got hard and cracked up plus it wasn;t even cutting.... paid like $20.00 for a pair of foriegn used pads with almost 100 percent life on them
