SR20 VVL info request

Hey Guys, I was originally planning to swap in an Avenir SR20 DET into my B14 but given the current price and rarity of the engines ($9000 +), I am planning to swap my GA16DE with a P11 SR20 VVL type engine instead. I am aware that some sort of management/ controller would be needed to engage the VVl but I will deal with that after the swap.

My biggest concern at the moment is the gearbox. Would any of the SR20 LSD gearboxes bolt on to the VVL engine without problems? Also what is the difference between the "small spline" and "big spline" LSD gearboxes? I would assume this refers to the axles sizes....

I have heard that the GA16LSD gearbox axles are the same as the SR18 LSD axles. Would I be able to re-use my GA16 axles on any of the mentioned SR20 LSD gearboxes.

Yeh man, I think I found it here viewtopic.php?f=21&t=104415&hilit=SR+gearbox

The small spline box seems to be the SR18 LSD type that should work with my GA16 LSD axles. The only downfall is the small spline is cable type and not hydraulic. What I didn't get is what type of axles are needed for the Big spline LSD gearbox.

Cable box can be converted to hydraulic.

cable type is not all that bad.

i runnin a stage 4 clutch master full copper clutch, no spring.pressure plate, etc. and its not that much of a burden to drive.

in traffic however,u jus have to let the traffic go up a few car lengths before u come off. lol
