A possibility might be in the fuel train. Could be damaging pump, blocked pump strainer, blocked fuel filter, injectors, or a failing fuel regulator.

That is if it is the fuel.system. Might wanna diagnose to see if is any of he sensors like the maf not giving a proper reading past the 2000 rpm mark.

Ryotech or Anil Sooknanan are the men to be dealing with. Anil is very knowledgeable abt the sr20 engines and Ryotech can do a complete system analysis to determine if each sensor/component is functionimg properly.

Now that no sensors showing faulty, I feeliing more confident that there is a physical restriction in the fuel system.

Slacken the fuel line going into rail and put it into a bottle. Put thr car in thr on position and let thr fuel pump come on. It should start to pump into the bottle. Block the hose with ur thumb to let the pressure build to gauge how much pressure the pump is generating. Also, it should hage been sending a good flow into the bottle before that.

If ur getting a good flow and pressure supply at that point that means its not a clogged pump strainer or fuel filter.

Connect back the fuel hose to the rail. Now disconnect the line returning to the tank after the fuel pressure regulator, and route it to a bottle. Put Tue car in on and let the pressure build up. It not suppose to have much of a flow at this point if any. Then start the car. U suppose to get a small flow as excess pressure is being bled off. Rev the engine past ur two thousand rpm. U suppose to still get a smaller flow. If ur still getting atheists same flow as before that means the pressure regulator is not restricting the fuel from dumping off. if u still get poor performance block the return line with ur thumb and rev the engine to see what goes on. If it works better then ur fuel pressure regulator is faulty. If it works he same then it is past my little trouble shooting skilz.

My car started doing something similar but only on initial startup, one good rev out and it normal for the remainder of the drive. Keep us updated.

My problem seemed to be the o2 sensor, soon as i unplugged it it stopped stuttering and going crazy. running with it unplugged for the while.
