GA15DE M/T - Input shaft bearing

Postby wagonrunner » September 8th, 2016, 12:53 am

Has anyone replaced the input shaft bearing in their gearbox?
Getting a sound at idle that could be that. Box always had fluid.

Does the noise stop when the clutch is depressed? if it does it may be the clutch release bearing/retainer clips.

Yes that's it, but my bet would be the release bearing, when last you changed release bearing?

By the way the part number for the clips is 30502-53J05, and Motorist should have them.

cool. thanks.

replaced pp / clutch and release bearing sometime in 2014 i think.
vehicle doesn't see much use anymore. as i'm not on the road everyday. and when i am, the distance has been more than halved. and with the speed limit, just cruising.

Can't go wrong with that price considering how prices have gone up, perhaps the newer QG15 box if you get one at a reasonable price.
