Nah, I won't agree with you there, 'severe' conditions are those like in the desert or Antarctica, these 'sales reps' use analogies like "we like in the Caribbean", "so our place is too dusty" etc. true and utter nonsense!
If a manufacturer has spent millions of dollars in research and development and doesn't 'amend' their owners' manual to reflect the environment where the vehicle is being sold, well that's concerning, however, if the manual states service every 10,000km, then I'll trust them and not the 'stealership' just my '2 cents'!
Yep... Worse if the vehicle never gets up to operating tempmetalgear2095 wrote:So basically anyone that does a lot of city driving will be doing so under severe conditions?

Cheap as chips ... Also if mass adoption happens then parts and service outside of mASSy shouldn't be an issue.
I guess hyundai is now a premium brand in mASSy's line up.

I think mass adoption currently happening, I think the purists who think beyond the new car paint and smell still worry about long term reliability and accessibility to parts, MG is part of the SAIC group so the presumption is that their cars will share parts with other badges in the group but nothing else is sold here so no track record to assist but organically local parts places will eventually start to stock up. The local review of the MG HS that couldn’t even make it up Chancellor without the transmission overheating was a big red flag. My own VW experience about DCT which is also in these cars gives me even more hesitancy.
