The deaths of two men and a 15-year-old girl in a high-speed accident on the NSW central coast has prompted warnings for motorists to slow down in the lead-up to Christmas.
Wyoming teenager Natasha Schys was a passenger in a high-performance Nissan Skyline GT34R sedan being driven by P-plater Emile Doussett when it veered off the road at over 200kmph and wrapped around a telegraph pole at Wyoming.
Mr Doussett, 20, of Lisarow and another passenger, 33-year-old Gosford man Karl Homer, were thrown through the car's front windscreen and died on impact.
Ms Schys was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene.
Their deaths took the state's road toll for the past three days to five.
Police described the crash - in which the car hit the pole with such force it tore in two - as one of the worst single-vehicle accidents they had ever seen.
"Any crash where there's been death on the road ... you cannot say which is the worst but it's certainly up there," Metropolitan Crash Unit Commander, Senior Sergeant Peter Jenkins told reporters.
He said the severity of impact on such a straight stretch of road suggested the car had been travelling at speeds significantly above the 50kmph limit.
"At this stage it would appear that speed is certainly a factor we are looking at ... we have lost three lives totally unnecessarily," Sen Sgt Jenkins said.
the 15 year old girl in the car was pregnant. the 20 year old dude behind the wheel was not the owner of the car. his father was. the day of the accident his father left the country and he decided to take his gf and a friend out to see whatthe car can do ... thos are the stories that i read on othe forums
