been looking for a datsun 1600 that was worth restoring or possibly turning into a project car.....
we had one (PS 3392) and i never saw it since it was sold about 12 years ago (we had it in orange and later in a dark metallic green.....last i heard it was involved in an accident and then painted white and had huge chrome wheels......

if anyone has a link for a good one, i'll be interested.

The one to have was the "S" package. That one was easily distinguishable by the front driving lamps and the "S" badge on the trunk.

unless it was a Mk1 or Mk2 with a Lotus badge, it was just junk :-p
I keed, I keed
seriously tho, only the Mk1 and 2 are worth collecting
There was a very early Mk1 coupe in Princes Town for years. On\wner died, car disappeared a couple years back :-(
I also remember a Mk1 Estate abandoned on the side of the road down south years back...that would have been cool to own now

would be a nice project to strip down and have the bare basics in it.
maybe with a 2.0L Pinto engine and box with some drafts

or a cool V6/8? maybe even the dreaded SR20

oh well, I can only dream

if the body was in better condition yea, a nice v8 with a transmission would really have done it
