Haven't ruled out the LS motor just yet but have some future plans that would be better suited for carb.

Few parts ordered today, will take some pics and update when they get here.

Little update:

Got the engine running right, good oil pressure, carb tuned, starts up and idles right etc etc.

Started mocking up the engine accessories so decided to start scrapping and painting. Some parts were ordered this week, should be in during next week so those will be added and new pics taken. But this is how she stands as of yesterday.

Going to start re-assembling the accessories around the engine to get it running and working right.

One little hiccup with the brakes but will sort that out soon.

Nice! the pic aims to show how neat the install is, with ZERO cutting or modification of subframe/ suspension.

Only modification was to batter down the lip on the firewall to fit the bigger distributor (MSD Streetfire) as shown in the pic as well.

NO cutting either and all harness is there for all functionalities. Once engine is reassembled it will look as OEM as possible (hence the choice of colours)

I shall keep out of that discussion, thanks lol

For me it's just a project with potential to take in any direction later on.

ohhh ok

Well most of my online purchases have arrived. Unfortunately my precious 15" oval ball milled chrome intake can't work due to clearance with the custom bonnet...not gonna hack up this one so I will be using an intake similar to the one in the 2nd gen above.

Other than that, just finalizing radiator, belts, condenser location etc

^that was just vinyl wrapped over the old valve covers so they look good until the new ones arrived...won't last with the heat of the engine at all
