lol that cortina does not have a v8 in it....this is the prestigous V8 thread..... (music)....where we discuss the dynamics and engineeering superiority of the V design....and we showcase the ease of maintenance and horsepower and torque prowess of these "real engines"..then we relate it to our space ..and the infestation....with these jappo rb..jz sr...ugh engines.....anyhow.....corty is for the old school projects thread :D

I looked through the last couple pages of this thread, I am impressed at you guys ambition to do this.
I've been attending old car club meets (lots of 60's & 70's chevy and mopar) for the last 3 (maybe 4?) years (friend's dad hosts a lot of meets in the midwest). I've never really gotten into the old muscle car scene beside the fact that I want to build a big block v8 just for the loopy idle (poser, maybe) and put it into an el camino or ranchero.

One day this plan will go into motion. Until then I'm sticking to big cammed 4 cylinder.

My roommate got some pics from car craft 2012. I was intoxicated for the majority (like I am now).
I'll dig through his camera for 'em and post it up.

How good are GM Turbo Hydromatic transmissions?
I've got a GM 454ci with one bolted to it and a transfer case for 4WD.
Needs rebuild.
