So the time has come for the passing on to the great beyond of another great person. Guess our chance meeting last week at HiLo was our last greeting and indeed goodbye (even though we live a whole minute apart from each other).

And this from Wade...."His best was a 60's Vauxhall Viva + Ford Capri 2L V-4 + DIY 54" equal length Bi-Y extractors + Cortina 1600E gearbox... That hybrid is still the best handling car that I have ever driven...rwd GSR and Evo 6 RS included! That was the car that started it all for me. "

Funny how I always used that car in my description of this father and son team, as an early example of local engineering genius.

Wade has certainly taken on the gauntlet of keeping his father's name proudly flying, even with the added responsibility of his most recent "two acquisitions".

God be with you and your family at all times.

Just spoke to Wade on the phone after reading his reply to my post earlier, must say i was a bit relieved but also offered my condolences to him and his family... Didn't know his pops but judging from the above posts he must've been one hell of a guy!!!

R.I.P. May God be with you and yours...

"two acquisitions"... I don't know if I can live up to all those kinds thoughts but at least now there is a third generation of 2nrs to carry on...My 2nd son, Brian (4 years) and 2nd daughter, Lisa (23 months.)

Again, thank you all.

Well don't wanna say he is going to a better place as his place on Earth seemed just about spot on, he accomplished a lot in his stay and passed on much as well to his striving son and I am sure others. Sanctifier keep doing what you are doing and inspiring others like myself to DIY. May your dad's dreams shine through in your ambitions, like father like son ;).
