And just a note on the disc brake on drive shaft set ups . They work great if you have a spool , or welded differential , or maybe a locker . With an open diff , we all know if you hold the drive shaft tight , you can turn one wheel by hand and the other will spin in the opposite direction , Right . So lets say you park on a grade and you r curb side wheel is on some sand , water , grass etc . Once that wheel on the slippery stuff starts to turn . The other tire on the pavement will just turn freely . And the vehicle will kinda chug down the grade like a standard shift car , left in gear on a grade , when it starts to roll away . Dont get me wrong . I think its a cool set up . But I seem to recall the jags an vettes used a disc on each side of the differential . Not on the shaft from trans to diff . ..77.
