is the reason why i love cars so much. with just some subtle touches you can make it YOUR'S! and by that i mean there's no mistaking this Lex for someone else's. when this car pulls up, everyone will know YOU'VE arrived!

I agree 100% , personally my ride is one way of expressing myself, because im an auto enthusiast .... I dont confine myself to having a "one track mind" though.. I like to try different styles... i guess thats what makes me different from alot of my friends who are enthusiasts also...
dunno if its just me but I think EVERY form of auto styling has its potential... not withstanding that when taken to the extreme it doesnt always end well....
VIP style for example is what I was working on recently, but without the negative camber and extreme lowrider effect....

Quicksilver, I agree fully with your comments, some ppl like one genre of automobiles and pattern themselves as automotive snobs, yet claim to be enthusiasts

Picasso, looking forward to seeing the IS300 on the road, I too may be doing a VIP style soon

copper_shot, I was looking for pics of your HC35, I remember it well, the 35 is a favorite model of mine

it took about 5 months to get everything

i ordered the kit from japan, that took like 3months+

installed s14 shock and springs, direct bolt on with almost stock ride
the headlights and grill were bought brand new, to give it the newer model look, installed 2 sets of 10,000k HIDs back then very few knew what they were

i was considering a couple of the vip styled rims from some japan sites, then i saw a set of TIS and thought i'd try it for the while because i knew it would take months for that to land here

Image

anyways the real plan was
a set of brembos for the front - which i had already sourced locally
turbo the RB20, bought everything already for this
and get me a sweet set of rims

in the end it was supposed to look like this

Image

then i saw an aristo locally and decided to sell the laurel
took out EVERYTHING i put into it
including SQ sound system, Alpine head unit, MB quart components, JL sub etc.
the headlights, grill, rims, suspenison and body kit
and sold the car as stock

anyways.. the aristo had some major problems and i didnt bother to go ahead with the sale again...

in the end... i was VIP less... :(
