It's the typical syndrome, once you're interested in a car it suddenly pops up everywhere lol. I was looking at a mitsu asx for someone, from the day I did research boom everywhere I turn I see them.

Is almost everyday you seeing a Wrangler on the road. It have 6 in Grande that I know about. Idk why, but people seem to like it over the "traditional" suv in that price bracket

The outside of the wrangler certainly is not an SUV look, but how does the interior compare to some SUVs on the market or at least SUVs in a similar price bracket?

Btw, is HSM in Chase Village?

That's a subjective question. Then again the Wrangler is not a Typical "luxury SUV". It's design is more functional if anything. That being said, the styling is unique (inside and out), may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I guess that is what make's it attractive to some people.

From talking to people who bought them, they like the idea of having an unlimited amount of options wrt to customizing. Its also one of the few vehicles where you could take of the hood and get the outdoor feels. The vehicle can also be seen as "luxurious" by some

I wont wait on the local dealership for this vehicle. Dont expect the price to be much less if less at all and thats if they choose to bring down that particular variant in the Sorento. I would recommend bringing it down on your own or through someone like Global Exchange for example.

I went to check out one the other day. The outside was nice and rugged with a unique outlook. The interior was in one word HARD... the finishes were hard, the knobs were hard, the levers were stiff and hard. I guess its built for practicability and is by no means "luxury". I think that after a while it would get fedduping....

You are sure right... it also had some cool features such as drain plugs under the mats so that you can wash the interior. The mats were some serious thick formed rubber. The top though was a kinda plastic/fiberglass thing that didn't add to the interior since the underside of the hard plastic was visible with no hood liner... The one in the showroom was not appealing though, the regular tyres and stock ride height made it look like a big Jimny. The lifted one in the showroom on the other hand had that rugged and mean look. Its way overpriced though!!!

It’s still a 1.4T? Thought that was discontinued for the 35TFSI (1.5T)

Friend recently bought a XE 4x4 NP300. Came with the touchscreen Apple Carplay and Android Auto deck. It's OEM Nissan, not an android unit. Used it myself and it was very responsive and nice.

Good to hear with that android auto integration from the start too. My LE is out for delivery Wednesday, literally got all the bells and whistles of the Xgear except leather heated seats. And I despise leather on my bam bam. So I'm good

Did TTTL ever gave us a pocket rocket before? Yarises in T&T have always been bargain basement econoboxes with those 2NZ-FE 1.3 engines. They are slow sellers in a contracting sedan/little hatchback market.

Don't expect TTTL to waste precious forex bringing in stuff like that when they could focus on the 2 nameplates that making them float right now ie. Rush and Hilux.

You want a genuine little rocket? You can get a brand new SSS 6MT for $195k.

O geeeeeed, no thanks.

I'll see the scene for RORO. I really like that lil bugger. 4wd with that power to weight ratio will be a lot of fun, and tbh I don't go outside the Toyota brand. Either speed or 4x4 is yota for life...

Thanks for the info top!

Well toyota owns a portion of subaru and massy has the STi for $700k or you can get the CTR for $550k and Honda is just as big in the dance like Toyota.

I have a prado under by belt already, which means my budget for the the pocket rocket very tight. Hence I looking at the GR Yaris.

What else is there on the market that is 4wd, carrying over 250hp, holds resale value, is reliable and not too expensive to maintain ? And carrying an average price tag of around $300-$350k?

Actually to be fair, this may actually land for a lot more, maybe a more accurate figure might be around $425k-$475k. Which does take it somewhat close to the CTR in price point. However I would still prefer this GR Yaris 4wd over the CTR all day long.
