DIY 10mm nut driver

Postby Ted_v2 » March 8th, 2015, 9:26 pm

As a upcoming mechanic. Tools are needed.
In most Asian vehicles 10mm bolts are pretty common. So it's either get a extension with a 1/4 rachet or make something.

This is what I made. 99% of tuners would know what it is and have it but I'm sure there are few who would be glad for this advice.

That's size 10 headstuds.

This is perfect for sump pan removal.

Both transmission and engine. Also transmission filters.
Air intakes and coilpacks.
Those big hose clips.
Lining up fenders and panels.

The sky is the limit.

It does!

Piece of advice though. Next time, try and find the centre of gravity of the handle piece (top of the T) and then weld in that region. So when you using it, it would have a better weight distribution and be more balanced!

just because its the norm to do so, doesnt make it correct procedure

by that logic, we should all remove our thermostat.....thats the norm in the automotive industry!

id agree that masking tape isn't the best use for the application he wanted but corrosion protection tape is an engineered solution for corrosion resistance
