Will have a little more specific details for you soon. We have a meeting tomorrow to plan out some aspects of the events for the year.

However, the tentative plan is to have a classroom session to discuss and describe race lines, technique, car set up etc. Then a open floor session with Q&A from anyone ( most of us there know the theory really well...its practice of the proper thing that is lacking)...
You would find that most if not all the solodex regulars are very willing to help the new guys as well as the "seasoned" drivers. So feel free to ask questions.
The practial part would involve setting up some key turns and have the experienced drivers help the newer drivers or the drivers that request help. Focus will be on proper technique and hitting the apex. We are hoping to have some footage of each run so that you and your "teacher" can analize what you did wrong so you can try and correct it.

If time permits we can set up our normal BYCC course and have timed runs so that drivers may map their progress.

IMO seat time and focus on proper technique is the best way to learn what you doing....
if you have the technique down....the different types of turns becomes secondary.

The first part of the day will be the class room and Q&A session.
The second part will be the practical session....this implies that you will have a hands on session with your car and the course.
It may consists of simple turns so that we can all practice proper technique (we still have to finalize the details of this)

After this we can open the bycc course for non stop practice.
Its a lot to get done in one day, but we will be trying to cover everything.

So to answer your question chris: No it will not be just a classroom session. The bycc course will be open for practice but it may be a little later in the day after the practical part of the driving school is completed.

The details of the planning of the event still need to take place. (we usually do this closer to the event). For now we have the general idea of what we want to do...which is what I posted here. When we meet we can see how best to mix and match everything so that everyone can be accommodated.
As soon as we can confirm the details we will let everyone know.

Had lots of fun yesterday. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for the entire thing. The classroom session was informative and the 3 practice zones were fun and really helped I think. Couldn't stay to try the course though. But looking forward to Dex 1!

Good observation.
The list will be updated after tomorrow's event.
Just need to confirm a few things. I was not sure of Anthony's tyres but will get confirmation at 8 am in the morning when he comes to help lay down the course
