Good day folks, just wanted to say a special thank you to all persons who attended the marshalls session last evening.

I hope that the information shared would have been absorbed and would be of benefit to all of us.

It is important that we work together as a team, Rally Trinidad is the biggest event on our local calendar, it is the showpiece of local rallying, as such i am hoping that we can also be the best that we can be on this weekend.

I also want to emphasise, that although we had a good turnout lastnight, i want to encourage you, the guys and gals that were there lastnight, to bring out more people to our events, at no time can we or any other sport have too many marshalls.

Again, thanks for attending lastnight, and with your help i look forward to a safe and secure Rally Trinidad 2009, see you soon!

i share the same sentiments as NuffRespect.. the marshals are the ones that make the event possible.... even a 2 car race needs marshals!

Mini wrote:the marshal handbook that was mentioned last night can be downloaded [url=http://www.mediafire.com/?it5wtb1jzoy]here

feel free to email and/or print and distribute to your friends who will be coming out

Hey props to TTRC on a great Marshalls meet.....i think this has been the best offering to marshalls i have ever seen.....The marshalls package sounded huge....the fire demonstration was great....Mini's car safety talk was really informative....and the respect shown to marshalls was needed.

Selling the marshalls job as the best seat in the house is the way to go. Now are there plans for more meets before the rally? maybe on one of the stages while a car is practicing? A dry run to demostrate 1.Proper Radio usage. 2. How to tell if a car is blcking the course etc. 3.Crowd control and i'm sure many other pts i have forgotten.

Hey just tryin to help in some small way

It was really heartening to see such a large turnout last Thursday, not only of wannabe marshals, but also photogs, MATT affiliates, drivers/co-drivers and TTRC executives. I'd say there were more than 40 persons there.

For offering his facilities, let me thank Robert (or should it be Daddy Cadiz?)and Tropical Power for clean and just-enough-space surroundings (of course, Samaroo and DarREL had to lock me in the kitchen !!) :?

For sharing our Media Launch and his experiences as a driver, thank you Grasshopper, for entertaining us (he real eloquent eh ..)

For driving Godzilla over, giving a pep talk, tickling Godzilla and allowing other folks to sit in her belly, showing how to and where to about a rally car and posting up the Marshals' Handbook, thank you Kevin

For demonstrating his knowledge on fire extinguishers and fires, thank you Trevor. Trevor is OSH certified, works as a safety officer for RBTT Bank, Security Operations and also represents ME International Safety Consultants and has volunteered to be a marshal. Ya-a-ay Trevor :!: :!:

To Andre and STAG for sponsoring a marshal's package, a resounding THANK YOU!!

To my core marshals, always I thank you for your unwavering support.

For signing up to become one of the more important functions in RT09, thanks to ALL of you :D :!: :!: We have a list of >30 to work with. :fadein:

To TriniTuner and Zorce, oh gosh thanks boys ..

To Sham, thank you.. everyone had either a full first, or seconds and thirds ..

The purpose of the briefing was not only to share our collective knowledge, but also to create yet another entity - TT Marshals- we are pleased that RT09 initiated it. Barbados's marshalling club number close to 400 persons of all ages and professions who pay to become a member of this elite club. They marshal almost 52 weekends annually  Please call Stanley 460-1966 if you are interested.

On behalf of TTRC, THANK YOU .. Chief Marshal and his deputies will be contacting everyone over the next few days to confirm information and arrange one more meet .. so please be there ...
