Taken from www.rallytrinidad.comThe TTRC had its media launch for the 2010 THA Rally Festival taking place on our sister isle on July 2-4. On hand were various members of the media as well as a few of the MATT (Motorsport Association of Trinidad and Tobago) organizations. With only a month left to go, the TTRC surely has a reputation to live up to after the tremendously successful 2009 edition of the Event. With 5 new teams going this time round taking the total entry up to 25, Tobago will be the place to be come the first weekend in July. The cars will be putting on a show in front of what is expected to be another record crowd at the Courlan Estate.

The 3km course is expected to be similar with one or two surprises as indicated by Barry Mckenzie (TTRC President and Stage Architect). 'We hope the weather treats us well, but regardless of the conditions, the stage will be an entertaining one', said Mckenzie. When asked about defending his title against the likes of Lochan, Powell, Johnson, and Cadiz, he simply laughed it off and smirked 'Tobago is my stage'. Although confident the One Foot crazy man will have his work cut out for him as the 2010 Championship Season is well underway and drivers are extra hungry to pick up points on one of the TTRC's most exciting race weekends. Foreign guests include Jamaican Ricky Bobby and UK born Barbadian national Harold Morley in his Subaru N14.

Turtle Beach Hotel is back as the official Hotel partner and they are expecting a large turnout. Rooms will be offered at discount rates and all would be spectators are asked to contact Jackie Alexis (TTRC PRO 735-7908). Located walking distance away from both the stage and one of Tobago's most picturesque beaches. Sun, fun, and stages is going to be the vibe that weekend and all are encouraged to make this one.

The itinerary is as follows:

  • Thursday July 1 - Cars leave on the 5pm ferry
  • Friday July 2 - Rally car Motorcade and show - time and location to be advised
  • Saturday July 3 - RALLY RALLY RALLY - 8 Stages starting at 10am
  • Sunday July 4 - Beach lime - time and location to be advised
