U talking about replacing the factory touch screen deck with an after market ?

If so , the big problem does be they make the stock deck face integrated into the dash.
But msny places sell finishers to replicate the dash so an after market can look original .
So hadda find a finisher for the model vehicle u have
The next ting is any controls for the vehicle that are controled via the head unit. But there are adapters to connect the after market to the head unit. Hadda research which model vehicle and which head unit can accommodate those features .

As of recently: it have a android unit to fit almost any vehicle
These also have the ability to integrate other dashboard controls and are plug & play

I man don't deal with new vehicle , but if I decide to, what I would do is keep the stock system and install the after market music system separate.
And now with those processors with Blu tooth and ting, jess hadda use the fone as the hu straight to the processor ..
And u can take out the whole after market set up and put in a differnt vehicle , and the original vehicle will be stock... Jess put back the factory speakers

Good speakers and processing will take you far with a stock deck unless it is aJapanese unit and you want an English interface.

Yes you can replace the factory unit and still have it looking oem. There are dash kits and harness adapters with CAN-BUS interfacing. All oem conrols and diagnostics will remain.
