Corolla speakers

Fellas what is the size of speakers found in the ae 110 corolla front door and can the speaker be remove with out taking out the door panel.

if it's your stock configuration the door cover must be removed to get to the speakers...hmm i would guess there's 6" speakers in there...what you can do is unmount the door cover and you'll get directly to the speaker mount on the door,some doors have clips and some have screws,check for that remove door cover and you should be able to handle it from there...good luck

So 6 1/2 speaker could fit with little modification then.

dont buy the speakers yet ...open the door cover check the size and then get the appropriate size... it's standard tho you wont have to modify ur door housing jus check it 1st... most likely it's 6" or 6 1/2

yes 6 1/2 will fit the only problem is that the factory speaker is on a adapter ribbet on to the door u will have to make an adapter for the speaker (look to make a long story short i will post a link of a car that my buddy work on)

^^homie the link isnt working...newayz thanks for the confirmation... actually most doors have that plate :? ... i have seen some applications where d stock speaker removed and replaced on same plate or simple make a plate to house the new speaker...as he said then it's 6 1/2...good luck

any how the plate can not be reused since the speaker is molded to the metal plate you will have to make a new plate (wish that link was working for you guys it will show u every thing what to do ) 8) 8)
