HELP HELP MY AMP BURNING DOWN

my crunch 2050.1 1000rms amplifier started to smoke today after i turned on my music but i was playing it very soft while driving for about 10mins. then the deck started blinking on and of and there was alot of smoke coming from the crunch amplifier

can someone explain to me what happened

my van has no electrical problems

my system is: kenwood head unit
1 pwm 20 preamp
1 lightening audio 1600watts (mids)
2 8' beta with pyle pro tweets
1 crunch 2050.1 1000watts
1 pioneer champion series
4 awg wire frm battery to back seat with a 2way splitter
1 150amp fuse

Your 'VAN' may not have electrical problems but sounds as though your audio install has some flaws... I seen this happen already... Fuse block (with 12v current) got crushed behind the seat and was exposed... When the seat fold back the block touched the body of the car and everything smoked...

With the case of your amp... Check back the wiring of your entire system... Take out the amp and check to see if any outputs blow (which im sure they are)... and carry the amp by a reputable repair guy who will use genuine parts instead of replacement... That usually causes the amp to burn again and again... Also check for cold solder...

something similar to this happened to me already, and i had the same smoke, blinking deck etc as the burning "jumped" to the remote wire. you should def check your amp/deck wiring

I think the power wire too small
