I never hear bout no RE re taking 500 rms, 1000 watts max, I already checked the site las nite  & as far as I kno (off the top of my head) the closest sub to that spec was the RE se. & the RE re turned out to be SVC

I never hear bout dah one...I ask him how come allyuh hav no more pios sellin? he tell me pple study complaining that the pios dem burning down so they eh sellin it again

alright pimptacular, to clear up things, the convo went something like this:

I was telling the guy that I considering downgrading to a pios, he tell me dont sell my sub for a pios cuz they burning down, buy a re, them is the new subs replacing the pios.
I told him I really notice allyuh eh sellin no more pios, I eh seeing any on the wall there :D.
he say "yea boi, dem pios study burning down, we get a lot of complaints from previous customers so we jus discontinue sellin dem & sellin dese Re subs here, same specs as the pios & its jus a lil more $$, the pios were $450.00 & these are $650.00"
I now enquired how them RE se subs so cheap (cuz those are the ones that I kno are around 500rms)?
he said that they are the RE re line, I was like :? say wah? I say you sure thas nuh the se, check the price on it, he tell me its the RE re, $650.00 for 1. I ask him to check the specs for me, he tell me is the same thing like the pios dem, 1000watts max, 500 rms D2 & D4...

the convo went something like that. what I said @ first was just a list of sentances that came outa my convo.

read carefully wah I said afterwards, I said I never hear of any Re re taking 500rms...
I checked the site to see if I was mistaken only to see that the RE re are SVC subs so I was sure that the guy is mistaken.

you not from the ole talk forum btw? you commin here to provoke ole talk & then hav the mods move the ched nah...

^^^

the reason why the pios dem burning down is in the beginning of this thread, these pple whom I am speaking of is the same pple whom 3stage is speaking of that built the box for the pios sub.
the box is tuned to 50 something hz meaning that if you try to reproduce frequencies below the 50's the sub will begin to offload & suffer mechanical failure. most bass freq in everyday songs hav bass freq below 50 so it is obvious why the subs are suffering damage & they gettin complaints.
also if you can find 3stage previous post on these pple you will see that the set everything to max on your system, head unit has loud on, bass on +6, mids on +6, trebel on +6, SLA on +4, amp gain on max & so it goes, not to mention subsonic filters set wrong & clipping like wow.

all this is a good recipie for destruction of the best built sub.

pios subs, once in a proper enclosure & your system tuned properly, will survive.

soo true... and considering that they sellin the RE model RE (@ 175W), there's gonna be alot more people complaining about RE now.. so sad..

pioneer subs are pretty good imo.. build construction isn't bad and they perform really well once used in the right enclosure..

try a lower tuning freq... i'd recommend starting at ~45Hz tuning and working your way up from there..

saw a car a few weeks back that these same guys did an install in:

2 boxes, 2 different subs, jensen mono bass amp using 12awg speaker wire for +tive & ground. guy said his bass not performing like it should so they told him buy a piece of 4awg stinger wire & run it from his alt to his batt & that will solve the problem.

I asked who gave such advice & even wagered a 10k bet that I can guess how his deck & amps settings were (that would have been an easy 10k had someone taken up the challenge  )

not much to it chris, they do the same thing in every car that leaves there. even saw one car where all the rca's & wires tied together with tie straps to neaten up - engine noise ftw.
