No worries man. BTW, my BIL isn't into car audio at all, but he was quite impressed with some of the builds he saw. I wanted to stick around a bit to chat with the 1x10 chaps to see if they did anything special or exotic to get the most out of their sub (e.g. tapped horn, 6th order BP, offset horn or some sort of hybrid) but I remembered my BIL's 4AM appointment the next day, so I let him off the hook :).

^^ Sadly i dont think many would have been able to/open to explain their systems to you, one being the apprehension that you maybe scoping out their cars for the other competitors and two some of the guys basically pulled into a installers yard and said " give me the loudest 1x10'' system, Heres a cheque".

Also seeing as I get to see inside most cars, I dont see many exotic boxes, there are a few in compition but many installers/competitors choose to get more powerful amps and subs that can handle the extra power rather than improve their enclosures. Ive seen many opt for the DD9510f and just drop in a 3k+ wrms amp, build a box according to DD spec and ff to compts they go.

I actually saw some very good midrange horn enclosures at the MECA show.
