Pioneer 6300MP CD deck giving trouble....wot 2 do???

Today just like that mih Pioneer head unit screen blank out on mih. When I press the cd eject button and the face tilts out the screen came back on but when it closes it blanks out again.

When I got home it didn't come on at all and now the face doesn't return to the upright position, it closes and stops half way.

What causing this? Has the unit seen its time? I have only had it for a little more than a year now.

same thing that happened to my deck.

its seems to be ribbon failure.
i didn't get chance to get mine fixed as yet but hopefully soon.

aparently there is a place in south. check a thread called 'pioneer 780mp help display gone off'

its a few threads down and has the info for the place that supposedly can fix it.

It was in fact the ribbon and it had cost me 450.00 to fix iirc. My advice would be to buy a new deck if you have the cash.

That's alot u really making me consider getting a new deck now..
