Need some help plz

Postby Modified Sound system » January 24th, 2010, 12:09 pm

want to know if these specs will work for a DD 1512 sub rated at 450rms.

EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS
Width- 30 inches
Height- 15 inches
Depth- 15 inches

wood thickness- 3/4 MDF

Port width 3 inches
port length 15.4 ( port bending)

tuned frequency 41Hz

i am open to opinions and facts, need some help
(used both rock ford and re box calculator already) and also did so other calculations. Don't want to build for SPL but for SQ and loudness. Box is for an almera and the seat doesn't drop down.( additional gains idk)

thanks in advance

I know the DD website recommends box designs for each of their subs. You tried the DD recommended spec for the 1512?

41 Hz tuning seems to be a bit high for an SQ install...

X2 I personally like tuning daily enclosures between 34-38 htz for a nice mix of lows and loudness.
