haven't played with those decks in a while, but..
the number is the center frequency for the EQ band you are working with.. e.g. '80Hz' or '100Hz' etc
the Q factor says how much the surrounding frequencies will be affected.. so if the chosen freq is 100Hz and you set the Q to very wide (2W), you will basically be adjusting, for e.g., between 70Hz and 130Hz, with 100Hz being the center frequency..
A very narrow Q (2N) will be more along the lines of 90Hz to 110Hz.. which would give a more peaky response..
Those decks supposed to have a 3 band EQ. Go into the Audio settings and boost the Low/Med/High abit, set them to +3 or +4..
Then go into the EQ adjustment settings and play around the the center frequencies and Q factor..
For rap and dancehall, set the Low EQ to the lowest frequency possible, I think it's 50Hz and set the Q factor to very Wide.. you should notice a heavy thump in your subwoofer now.. do the same for the midrange and high range and select what you find sounds the best..
Note, when you get the best sounding center frequencies, go back to the Audio settings and lower the overall boost level.. Try not to exceed +3. You will get the fullest sound that way..
hope that helps..
