d1 can be wired at 1\2 ohm or 2ohm , what u trying to do ?

is it a powerful sub that u want to drop some good power on it ?

once d amps are exactly d same & can be wired to master\slave & when combined matches d ohm of d sub\s i see no problem , i used to do that with my 15

disadvantages : have to get 2 amps , more wiring , occupies more space , cost of 2 amps can be more than a single amp

advantage : if u already have 1 amp then all u need is another like it ....

since the sub is a dual 1 ohm sub. it is possible to run 2 amps on the sub without strapping them. i have seen it done b4 but the tricky part is how would u get the 2 amps to put out identical or close to identical power.

even though the amps may be the same model and rating each and every amp gives out a slightly different amount of power. (for eg look at the birth sheets that come with the rockford amps). once you set the gains on both amps so that the power output are the same from the 2 amps you shud be ok.

Could you explain that?

On another note i've seen this being done since Wallerfield had spl/sound off competitions and no linking devices were being used.

Just connecting a amp to a coil means each amp will see a different input at any given time because you have little control wrt output of both amps. So one coil will always be seeing more power than the other, sometimes a neglect able amount sometimes not.

So IMO for daily it's not a good idea.

noob time now,

could two amps be connected to one coil as in two 2 channel amps, one dvc woofer.

either using a third device like a link or direct like spl applications

I knew an spl guy that ran 2 5k amps per coil in his car.

Don't see why the 4chann won't work, unless I misunderstood.

using two amps on one coil without a third device to link, would it be as simple as
two amps, one dvc woofer, one connection port for each coil.
amp 1 + to coil 1 +
amp 2 + to coil 1 +

amp 1 - to coil 2 -
amp 2 - to coil 2 -
