Whats your budget for a head unit?

In this day and age the ones with BT and USB so advanced no pre amp is needed.

Pioneer decks are like what, $1600.00 now?

Decent pre amp is about $500.00 and that will be a two way active system you have. To bandpass the mid you will still need to employ either passives or another form of processing still.

My vote if the 80prs and nothing else.

Are you familiar with frequencies and what speaker plays what?
Like just a ball park figure for bass, mid and high.

You cannot just play around with settings using the 80 prs. If you are using the 3 way network mode you’ll have to get familiar with different frequency settings using deck manual and you tube videos which is a great help. The standard (2 way) mode is easier to use but you will need good external crossovers for your speakers.

Quick update.... Problems.... After starting my studies in audio terminology... Got down to basics... Starts off with a multimeter.. Jus outta d sake of testing wat i read... Turn out that i no longer have a dual 4 sub.... Its dual 2.... So i.ve gone n mismatched amp and sub.... I.ve also discovered that one amp has been starving for proper voltage after testing ... Voltage in car stands close to 14 v ... My distribution block needs to be replaced as for whatever reason.. Once power crosses the fuse... It breaks from said 12 to 14 v down to 4....

That being said... Dis week will look to get a new one n update thread further...

you test the sub with a dmm and the coils read a flat 2 ohm or closer to 3?

4 Volts? Is that a fuse in there or a resistor?

Test coils n read like 1.9 either sides... An well i had it wired down to one ohm... Didn't even know....

N well distribution block fused ... One side reads proper voltage.. The other getting low voltage....

Thats odd (sub coil resistance). Sub bnib?

Sounds like your fuse gone. Jumper it with a piece of wire and see if the voltage reads better on the next side, if it does replace fuse.

An well sub was bought bout four years now.. Never saw full power... Buh d amount o time elapsed.. I got the specs wrong.. As mentioned before.. I thought i had a dual 4 ohm sub an went ahead n got amp to bring it to two ohms... Now to realise i have a dual 2 ohm sub... Again... That's d result of me not knowing fully how it works..
