Re: Where can I get electronic parts

Thought that I'd update you guys. I got this set a couple days ago and so far I'm shocked at the performance and sound of these especially since they are 4 inch midbass drivers. These drivers just on every little bit of steroids that they can get. Apparently there are better crossovers that can be installed but these things are great like this for now.

I paired it with some Boston acoustics bookshelf, I installed an old passive crossover from an infinity set. Made a bit of difference.

I decided to throw some eq at them today but they just sounded better flat and untouched. I'm very impressed. Thinking about getting 2 more of these and a cheap Sony receiver. And I'm thinking about a Kicker Comp R 12 with the Kicker Passive Radiator or putting my current sub in a huge ported enclosure tuned really low. I like DIY don't question the car audio in the house lol.

I use an idq8 for the bedroom and an earthquake subzero 12 in the living room. I can't judge.

Rear ported for a bass guitar. 10 inch celestion.
I might do a 10 inch Eminence Delta if I get the time
Was loaded in a corner as well

You build anything as yet?
The specs i worked out for the bandpass will be too big to tote around, so opting for a regular ported tuned to 45 Hz

That bandpass would be large. Never really got the point of a rear ported 4th. Any advantages over traditional ported? Sorry for the novice question, my knowledge when it comes to different enclosures isn't so vast.

Louder you say. I would try to do one but again I am not too knowledge on anything except for sealed and ported.

Not just louder, depends on the design. You can get a full bandwidth response from them.

No. You can design for peaky, but you'll lose bandwidth.
